So don’t be shy to bathe freely in air, sunshine, and water. For a sense of security, feel the ground with the soles of your feet, indulge in the fresh abundance of nature’s fruit, and… take summer face care products as your allies. An Abundant Basket of Summer Face Care Products

Nature itself is your greatest ally for preserving a youthful aspect of your face and body while immersing in its elements. Drink enough water, eat season fruit and vegetables, and slather them generously on your skin for natural hydration and nourishment.

In addition to nature’s summer basket, there is a basket almost as abundant of summer face care products we can put to work to our advantage. Out of this large basket, try to take your pick mainly of products based on natural ingredients. You should also know that some of the best skin care products incorporate the latest research in dermocosmetology and other cross-disciplinary research work.

My Basket of Summer Face Care Products 2016

Take a look at my basket of summer skin care products this year. It seems pretty abundant, doesn’t it? I have put in most of my star products. I am quite picky when it comes to the health of my skin, so the content of this basket is really precious for me.

Summer Face Care Products for Cleansing

To cleanse my face I use a whole range of products. Cleaning involves removal of makeup, impurities, grease, purifying pores, toning and moisturizing. The pores of your skin should be perfectly clean to make room for the follow-up treatments. Thus active ingredients can work their way deep into the dermis.

Cleanse

To remove the makeup around the eyes I use Doina Vitaminizing Cleansing Milk. This thick fluid is perfect for the eye area. It comfortably loosens makeup at a first application, then takes it all away from skin, leaving it clean and nourished at the same time. It comes in several variants, of which I periodically alternate two: Vitamins A and F or Vitamins C and E.

For face, neck, and décolleté I use Doina Nutritive Emulsion with Cucumber Extract. Nothing removes all traces of impurities and leaves my skin more comfortable than this very light cleansing lotion.

These two cleansers have been in my beauty summer basket for many years now and never ceased to rank among my star products. They are produced by Farmec, a Romanian company based in Cluj-Napoca.

Purify, Tone, and Moisturize

Next, to remove any trace of grease on the surface of skin and to unclog and purify pores, I apply one of this summer’s stars:

Gerovital Plant Antioxidant Tonic Lotion with organic poppy flower oil – a preservative-free purifier which also moisturizes and tones skin (produced by Farmec, Cluj-Napoca, Romania);

Naturalis Cleansing Lotion with essential rose oil – a purifying moisturizer which leaves skin fresh and perfectly hydrated (produced for Catena pharmacy chain);

Yves Rocher Sensitive Végétal – Soothing Micellar Water 2 in 1 – an ideal solution to eliminate impurities and tone skin without irritating it.

All three products prevent irritation and premature skin aging, and can be used for sensitive skin and safely around the eyes.

For extra moisture and freshness I spray some natural rose water before the follow-up treatment. My star product is Naturalis Natural Rose Water (Naturalis Apa Naturala de Trandafiri).

My Star Lifting Treatment Products

Yves Rocher Sérum Végétal Lifting Eye Care improves skin elasticity and limits sagging of eye contour, all based on the virtues of plants. Therefore it is a must for women aged 50+.

My favorite of favorites this summer is definitely Wrinkles & Lifting – V Shaping Sérum from Yves Rocher’s Sérum Végétal range. Its ultra-powerful botanical ingredients work in natural affinity with the skin, it is easily and deeply absorbed, with visible, almost instantaneous tightening and lifting results. Use this milky serum for a wow effect. I insist under my chin and on the jawline, with light upward strokes.

Wrinkles & Lifting – Supra Lift Mask is a cosmetic mask I gladly apply twice a week, as it is leave-in, effective, and plant-based. It belongs to the same Sérum Végétal range of Yves Rocher. A winner range this summer for me and for many other women, I’m sure.

Deep Hydration Summer Face Care

My stars this summer for deep hydration treatment make me actually feel good in my skin.

Hydra Végétal – Moisture Capture Botanical Sap by Yves Rocher is an intense hydrating mask, a star for the very qualities its denomination suggests. Its being a leave-in mask is a big plus for me. I put it on twice a week.

Nivea Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle Day Care feels like a refreshing balm. It is so swiftly and naturally absorbed into skin that you don’t even realize you’ve used cream. You feel instantly young, from the depth of your skin’s pores. I apply it in the morning, before the sunscreen.

My Nourishing Stars This Summer

Yves Rocher again, with two products in the Riche Crème range, with 30 precious oils: Comforting Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream and Regenerating Balm Intense Nutrition. Their ultra-melting texture immediately penetrates skin to offer it the ultimate nutrition. I use these creams every evening, and whenever my skin asks for them. Both are recommended for mature skin treatment.

My other star here is Naturalis Revitalizing Face Cream, with rose essential oil, coenzyme Q10, panthenol, and vitamins A and E. It is light, refreshing, and nourishes at the same time. Immediately after application your skin feels so good, non-greasy and smooth.

Summer Face Care – Sun Protection

I call hydration and sun protection star summer skin care actions. Both are crucial if you want to capture youth deep into your skin. Here are my stars for sun protection of my face this year:

Anti-Aging Care SPF 50+ in Yves Rocher’s range Solaire Peau Parfaite Protection (Solar Perfect Skin Protection) is a light fluid which protects and moisturizes the skin of face, neck, and neck line. It contains a wide spectrum sunscreen against UVA/UVB rays and against signs of aging caused by the sun. That is why I use it on the beach or when I stay out longer on sunny days.

Sérum Végétal BB Cream FPS 20 – Wrinkles & Radiance hydrates, improves cellular oxygenation, reduces wrinkles, and protects against UVA/UVB rays. I use it after the regular day moisturizer, when I don’t spend too much time outside.

Tinted Face Protection

Lancôme Hydra Zen Tinted Neurocalm Soothing Moisturizer SPF 15 is great when you want your complexion to look perfect and be protected. In summertime I apply it after one of the sunscreens above, depending on the time of day. It locks in moisture for up to 12 hours and leaves skin looking perfectly even and radiant. I never use foundation, but if you usually do, you don’t really need any with this wonderful cream.

The Photoderm MAX SPF 50+ range from Bioderma has been a star of my summer beauty basket for many years. These products are highly specialized in providing broad-spectrum sun protection, and I find them among the best of the kind. For moisture and anti-aging treatment you should apply other products beforehand. For my face, I have gone for the tinted variant this year. I apply it after the day moisturizer. I don’t need any other sunscreen, and my complexion looks so natural and even that, even if I wanted to use foundation, I wouldn’t need any.
